“Well, a-beat the drum and hold the phone
The sun came out today
We’re born again, there’s new grass on the field
A-roundin’ third and headed for home
It’s a brown-eyed handsome man
Anyone can understand the way I feel”
From John Fogerty’s Centerfield.
Well here it is, KyleBanister.com. A dream come true. As my webmaster, Amy Folkestad, and I worked on the site, Amy kept telling me to come up with something really strong and inviting for my first Now Showing article. Something like the upcoming Chalk Art that Eric Matelski and I will be doing on Opening Day at Coors Field. But at the last minute I decided to go with this. This is my first “Now Showing” Because the launch of this website along with the start of a new season in nature and a new Baseball season, this entire month of April is “THE” Now Showing. “We’re born again and there’s new grass on the field.”
So take a spin around the new website, there’s lots here to see already and even more on the way;
The calendar will list all the upcoming event dates. And we will be adding to this early and often.
-As mentioned above, Eric and I will be doing some Opening Day, Chalk Art at Coors Field. We will be at the intersection of 22nd and Blake Street, right outside Gate “C”, which is near 1st Base.
-I have an art show, “Baseball In ’68”, hanging at Dazzle Jazz Club, which features Baseball Art and the events centering around 1968.
-We will be filing a segment with ROOT Sports in April which will be broadcast on “Rockies Weekly”.
-The “Walk About” Photography Show at Lapis Gallery.
-I will be doing some live artwork at Waterstone Church in April.
-And some other really big projects that will become public in the next couple of weeks.
That doesn’t even count what you the public will bring to the table once you start using this new and exciting website.
So let us all engage and light this firecracker. “Anyone can understand the way I feel.”
