I think Jymi Zez Shores and I met in 2007, when I was still making bats at Coors Field for Rawlings. Jymi participated in the first art show that Eric Matelski and I collaborated on, which also featured Baseball bats. I think Jymi is a lot like me in many ways. Don’t dare try to key hole him into a single niche or medium. Along with conventional visual arts, he is also an amazing tattoo artist, and he makes up on third of the band “The Rye Pushers” where he plays the bass fiddle.
I had the opportunity to photograph him yesterday evening when he entertained us at the “Art Farm”. It made for a very fun show.
