In early 2013 I drew this illustration of Balios, the immortal horse given to Achilles by his father, King Peleus of Phtia. According the the “Iliad” Balios was one of the two horses used to pull the chariot of Achilles during the Trojan War.
The background photo used here was taken on October 17, 2015 in Georgetown, CO. During the downloading and editing process I noticed a cloud that bears a strong resemblance to the illustration I had done of Balios I had drawn 2 1/2 years earlier. At least I thought so enough to compose this photo collage. The photo was edited in size and color only. The image of the horse shows here exactly as photographed.
If one was so inclined to believe in Greek Mythology, you might just say that Balios is indeed immortal. And he continues to run the skies even today.
